Personal Description: I am a 27 old recorder player and teacher. I am a member of the Manchester recorder orchestra and a teacher at Stockport Recorder College.
Since I finished my degree in 2004 I have gained a lot of experience teaching both individuals and groups.

Tutoring Experience: For my degree I taught classes in a high school.
I taught singing, music theory, recorder music and piano.

I taught in Dublin in a Music School for a year.
I lectured a degree Student for his first year of the Music Degree.
I also taught music theory.

For the last 3 yearsI have been teaching privately. For this I have travelled to student's houses and taught both parents and students. I encourage parents to sit in on lessons so that they can help their child practice throughout the week until the next lesson

Tutoring Approach: I have a great deal of experience teaching both young students and more advanced, post degree students.
I believe that learning should be interesting and fun and I always aim to get the student thinking about music theory in every lesson.
I am very patient and I always encourage feed back from the student.
As every child is different I amend my teaching style accordingly so that every student can benefit.
